How many objects can I place? FAQs

A closer look into how things like barriers affect your object count, how to know when to upgrade and more

As of July 10, 2024 OnePlan's free event users will have a limit of 50 objects on their event plans.

I thought I could have up to 100 objects for free?

This is a recent change to our platform, in line with how we've observed user behaviour. This change applies to any account created after July 10, 2024. You can still start planning and get to know the software for free! For any queries you may have about this change, please email support@oneplanevents.com

How will I know when I'm close to my object limit?

Don't worry, we'll let you know! You'll get a pop-up in OnePlan Studio after you place your 40th object, letting you know that you're close to your event limit. Once you've placed your 50th object, you'll see another pop-up saying you've reached your limit and won't be able to place more objects, and have the chance to upgrade your subscription

Why should I upgrade to a paid subscription?

There are a number of perks to having a subscription with OnePlan! With a paid subscription, you can:

  •  Plan 10 events (instead of 1)
  • Place unlimited objects on your plans
  • Share view-only links with an unlimited number of users
  • Share your events with other OnePlan professional users with 'Share to Edit' capability
  • Import CAD files for planning indoor and outdoor spaces

If you'd like to talk this through with a member of the team, you can book a time that's convenient to you, here.

I can still place 100 objects, why does your pricing page say 50?

Users who opened their OnePlan account from July 10, 2024 can place up to 50 objects in their event plan as a free user. This change does not impact users who started their accounts before this date. If you have any queries about this change, please email support@oneplanevents.com

I can still place 100 objects, will the 50 object limit affect me at some point?

This change is in place for new users who have signed up from July 10, 2024. If you'd like to talk to our team about our flexible pricing options to upgrade your account, you can book a call here here.

That seems pretty pricey to me if I want more than 50 objects?

We would love for you to have a subscription with OnePlan and have a number of plan options for you. If none of these meet your needs, please get in touch with sales@oneplanevents.com who would love to chat through the best options with you.

All of our subscriptions have the option to pause your payments. This way, you only need to pay for your subscription while you're actively planning, and all your event plans are safely stored in OnePlan when you're not. You can pause for just £/$/€ 0.99 a month until you reactivate.

How do barriers count towards the 50 object limit?

We understand that placing barriers is fundamental to many event plans, and ensuring your event runs safely and successfully. For this reason, the way barriers contribute to your object limit is slightly different. Once you've placed more than 100m worth of barriers into your event, this will only count as 25 objects. You can continue drawing the same line of barriers beyond 100m and your object count will be capped at 25, giving you the ability to keep adding other objects, such as tents and toilets to your event.
