# Placing An Object In OnePlan

## This article summerizes how to place objects in OnePlan

#### Placing an Object

There are **two ways** to place objects onto your plan: **click and place** or **click and drag**.

### Method 1 - Click and place:

1. In the [Object Toolbar](https://support.oneplan.io/one-plan-solo/object-toolbar-overview?hsLang=en) on the left-hand side - click on the chosen object.
2. Left-click on the location on the map where you want to place the object.
3. Your object is now placed on the plan. You can click it to select and reposition it at any time.

### Method 2 - Click and drag:

1. In the [Object Toolbar](https://support.oneplan.io/one-plan-solo/object-toolbar-overview?hsLang=en) on the left-hand side, click with your left mouse button and hold on the chosen object.

2. Drag the object into position on the plan. Release the left mouse button to place the object  
   **Note:** Areas are placed as 100 ft × 100 ft squares by default. You can resize and reshape them after placement.
